Local stores sold out of hand sanitizer, LH student explains why

There’s been a surprising trend in Fayette County as of late. It seems that many stores are selling out of hand sanitizer as fast as they can get it in. We called around to 6 local stores today and not one had any hand sanitizer in stock.

We asked Dollar General work and Laurel Highlands High School student, Taylor Phillips what she believes caused the sudden increase in demand. “I just feel that like a lot of the older people are finally starting to die. Like the boomers and the gen Xers. It’s like sad but my generation is like super health conscious. We have a lot of vegans and we probably wash our hands a lot more than those people did.”

Hopefully as more of the over 35 crowd dies off stores will be able to meet the increased demand for hand sanitizer.
