Governor Tom Wolf applauded Fayette County fathers on Monday for taking steps to avoid their children during the recent pandemic.

“Fathers in Fayette County have gone above and beyond their responsibilities in keeping their families safe. Many children haven’t seen their father in weeks, limiting the exposure to COVID-19”

We spoke to single mother Stephanie Murphy of Brownsville about the steps her children’s father is taking to avoid contact with their children. Murphy said, “Michael aint want nothin’ to do with his kids long before people started getting sick round here. People always say he’s dumb but he must have seen this comin’ seven years ago.”

Some fathers are reportedly paying even less child support lately due to not going to work, which also helps prevent the spread of the virus.
