Fayette County officials have announced local municipalities will be including Vacant mobile homes as pickup items for spring cleanup.
Announced Friday, officials stated Fayette county residents who have multiple unwanted mobile homes may place the structures at curbside and the items will be picked up on a specified date.
Lonnie Fazenbaker, spokesman for Fayette County Mobile Homeowners Association (FCMHA) stated, “This is an exciting time in Fayette County, by removing unwanted mobile homes from properties we will be able to relocate the used mobile homes to other properties that don’t have any.”
Officials also stated that no room additions or second roofs should be included in pickup.
Dates and times for pickup has not been announced although it was mentioned the pickups could start as early as April 31st.
